Sometime After Lunchtime

Today begins when I wake up.

This I consider because as I was falling asleep, I noticed that I could slowly see in the dark. I was not seeing in the dark. The sun was coming up. Eventually I fell asleep. I woke up sometime after lunchtime. I took a shower. No wait. No I didn’t shower. I put on my overalls and a tee shirt and shoveled my hair into a knot on top of my head. Then I scrambled around and decided to check my grades. This venture brought me to the unfortunate realization that my email had been compromised. But then a fortunate realization led me to simply reset my password. It was a brief frustration. Meanwhile, my mom came home from “work.” I use quotations because it’s not a real job. It’s like babysitting. Except instead of a baby it’s an old person.

The rest of my day has included listening to two interviews on NPR. One with Sacha Baron Cohen. One with Peter Dinklage. I deposited a check for a key deposit. That’s a lot of interview and a lot of deposit. So I made baked brie. But then I left it in the oven too long.

I would like to comment on my previous post regarding Edgar Allan Poe’s pajamas. I was not judging the color of his pajamas based on the fact that only black and white photographs were takin during his life. But on the fact that colored pajamas were not popularized yet.

Edgar Allan Poe.  A grey sky was once likened to the color of Mr. Poe’s pajamas by a certain Tom Robbins. I would, however, liken Mr. Poe’s pajamas to something more than a grey sky. Perhaps a hidden garden of sorts. Although in accordance with the time period that Mr. Poe dwelt, I don’t think pajamas were at prime to be any color other than grey. So. There’s that.
